Welcome to Gator Salsa Club's official website. Gator Salsa Club is a student run organization at the University of Florida.
Want a new hobby? Want to meet new people? Do you love salsa? Are you interested in taking dance classes for FREE?!?! Then this is the group for YOU!! No experience? No partner? No problem!!!
Every semester the Gator Salsa Club offers FREE salsa classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays every week at The Bull in downtown Gainesville. We specialize in teaching LA and Casino style salsa, as well as Bachata! We also offer a variety class every Tuesday to highlight other dance styles and aspects of dance! All levels of dancers are welcome, even if you've never set foot on the dance floor. So bring your friends and some water because all are welcome!

This page shows the name of the members of the club and the number of events they have
attended over the last year. The list is sorted in decreasing order of total number of
attended events. Each event type is weigted differently, details of which are provided
below.
We need your support and contrubuition to keep this Club going. Every year, the Club is
ranked based on its performance and whether it met requirements set by UF RecSports. The
ranking decides the funding and status that will be awarded to the Club in the following
year. Hence, we hope you will help us achieve the goal of being a top Club at the
University.
Attending a Community service or a Spectating event earns you a credit. And attending a
Social event gives you one-third credit, while a Fundraising event earns you one-half
credit.
The top 5 members (excluding officers), with at least 3 events (excluding Social
events) will get free UFKB stickers and/or discounted UFKB t-shirts.
The list show the names of only those members who have signed the "RecSports Safety Waiver".
If you haven't done that yet, you are not officially a member of the Club.
Also, if you never attended any event, your name is automatically dropped from this list.
Our registered members (students who have signed the waiver) can now borrow UFKB equipment to practice at home. The members are required to leave a refundable deposit with us. Use the following form to add items you ant to checkout. The deposit will be updated automatically.

This page allows the admins and moderators to update the official members' list (members
who have signed the semesterly waiver), and distribute credits to members who attend an
event. For the members to receive credits, they need to have signed the waiver.
Every month (preferably more frequently), the appointed officer (usually
Secretary has to aquire an updated list of members who have signed the waiver
from the RecSports liason. The laison may provide an ".xlsx" file or a ".csv"
file. Both types of files work with this application.
Next, just select the
file using the button below, then click on 'Upload'. This action will only
upload the file and won't affect the member's list in the database.
After uploading the waiver's list, you still need to click "Update credits" button below to ingest the waiver's list file into the database.
The
columns in the Excel sheet should be (any extra columns will be
ignored):
NAME, EMAIL, PHONE
Other accepted cases for the column
names are illustrated using the example for NAME column. The column name can
also be 'Name' or 'name'.
After every event, the officer in-charge is required to update the database information regarding the number of events attended by each member of the club. All they need to do is after conclusion of an event, just press the button below. This will update the credits on the "Members' status" page visible to every member of the club.
Only those who attended the event and also signed-in on the website during the open window will get a credit for attending that event.
This page helps keep track of orders, payments, fulfillments, and donations to the Club.
